Wolverhampton garage and blues rock act God Damn play the ‘hometown’ date of their current UK tour this Saturday, January 18 at the Hare & Hounds in Kings Heath.
Between their Stoke and Liverpool shows, there’s an incredibly frenetic four bands (yes, that’s right, FOUR) who support the band at the show; post punk trio Youth Man, abrasive noise act Them Wolves, heavy grunge five-piece Victor and Swerve.
The bill was picked by Counteract magazine who co-promote the show with Birmingham Promoters. Editor Richard Franks said of the lineup:
“It’s quite unorthodox to have four support bands but I wanted to give those coming down to the show value for money – five pounds for five bands. The acts all compliment each other incredibly well so even if you are just coming for God Damn, make sure you come down early as I guarantee you’ll discover at least one new band that you’ll end up loving.”
Check out the below playlist, featuring all of the acts that play on Saturday:
Local label Distorted Tapes will provide the sounds in between the live sets.
Tickets for the show are priced at £5 advance and are available via the Birmingham Promoters website. Please note that this is a late show, with God Damn playing at midnight.
