Playlist: A musical introduction to the April issue

With the brand new issue of Brum Notes Magazine out across the streets of Birmingham and beyond, here’s a playlist to give you a taste of this month’s featured artists.

The April issue is a Fresh Talent special so there’s plenty of exciting new Birmingham bands to wrap your ears around, and there’s no better way to start than with the brand new track from Brum’s latest hot property Superfood (pictured). In between you’ll find a mixed bag of noise rock, grime, sparkling indie and lo-fi fuzz, all finished off in style with a fan favourite track from Birmingham’s latest flag-bearers Peace.

You’ll also be pleased to know you can see plenty of the the bands featured live this week, with Heavy Waves heading up our April issue launch party on Thursday (April 4) at the Bull’s Head in Moseley, entry just £3 on the door, while Dumb will be joined by Wide Eyed, Youth Man and The Scribers for the next Brum Notes Presents show taking place at the O2 Academy 3 on Friday (April 5). Tickets are £5adv and available here.

Like what you hear? Feel free to share it around  and don’t forget, you can pick up your FREE copy of the April edition now or read it online here.
