Moseley Folk 2024 reveals main stage line-ups

Renowned annual open-air Birmingham music/arts festival Moseley Folk has revealed the acts heading to its main stages this year.

Running from Friday 30 August to Sunday 1 September 2024, headliners include ’80s Brum/Black Country legends Dexys, indie popsters Belle and Sebastian, and a returning Levellers.

They’re joined by Irish/American punks Flogging Molly, plus – keeping with the Irish flavour – rising star CMAT and The Scratch.

Other artists making their way to the ‘folk’ music festival include The Staves (now a duo), Smoke Fairies (still a duo), Niger-based musician Mdou Moctar, and the prolific songwriter (and children’s book author) Beans On Toast.

Birmingham folk starlet Katherine Priddy, whose second album is due for release later this month, also appears.

In addition to the strong Irish representation – a reflection of the vibrancy of Ireland’s music scene at present – BrumNotes notes a the number of female/female identifying artists is also strong, with Bess Atwell, Frankie Archer, Dawn Landes, and others, also making main stage appearances.

Tickets are back on sale from Friday 9 February 2024, from £65 per day (adult).

Further acts are due to announced soon, including the arts and comedy line-up, while the organisers have stressed their ongoing commitment to improving the festival experience for festival-goers, including a reduction to queue wait times for entrance and bar.
