Birmingham singer Laura Mvula announces first ever headline tour

Laura Mvula has announced details of her first headline tour, including a show in her home city of Birmingham.

This month’s Brum Notes Magazine cover star and Birmingham Conservatoire graduate has enjoyed a whirlwind start to 2013, having been nominated for both the BBC’s Sound of 2013 and the Brits Critics Choice award, being invited to tour with Paloma Faith and Jessie Ware and selling out her first headline show at London’s Tabernacle (March 4) in just two days.

Her newly-announced headline tour starts at Komedia in Brighton on April 30, taking in dates in London, Leeds, Glasgow and Manchester, before her homecoming show at The Glee Club in Birmingham on May 8.

She also tours with Jessie Ware in March, including a show at The Institute in Birmingham on March 9.

New single Green Garden is out on February 24 ahead of the release of her debut album Sing To The Moon on March 4. Watch the video to Green Garden here.
