August issue now online

The August issue of Brum Notes Magazine is out now and available to read online here.

This month’s beautiful offering features an interview with cover stars Everything Everthing, who release their excellent debut album in a matter of weeks amidst a flurry of excitement.

Also adorning this month’s pages are one of Birmingham’s hottest musical properties, Goodnight Lenin, who share their excitement about their impending debut single release, the upcoming Moseley Folk Festival and the whole lotta love they’ve been getting from all directions.

Plus, Yeasayer implore you to get your dancing shoes on ahead of their Wolverhampton appearance – sure to be one of the higlights of August – while you can relive the fun and frolics of the Off The Cuff Festival, the Mostly Jazz Festival and The Rainbow’s Summer Street Party.

Also, of course, you will find the usual mixture of news and a comprehensive gig guide for the month ahead, as well as a mouth-watering recipe for the perfect summer meal, a guide to the big and little screens’ top barmen and a tasty offer allowing each reader the chance to get their teeth around free gourmet sandwiches at top Brum boozer The Victoria.

If you’re feeling lucky you may also be able to nab free tickets to see The Phenomenal Handclap Band at the Hare & Hounds on August 4, or Nosaj Thing at the same venue on August 24.

Happy reading!
