WIN A Signed Copy Of Field Harmonics’ Debut Album

Wolverhampton experimental electro artist Field Harmonics plays the Brum Notes June Issue Launch Party at The Sunflower Lounge on June 11. To celebrate, we have three signed copies of his debut album, Walls, to give away.

A beautiful blend of pulsing electronic pop and dreamlike ambience, Walls is scattered with highs and lows, light and dark and the nuances occupying all in between. Drawing influences from New Order, Depeche Mode and the Pet Shop Boys, it’s an exciting blend of multi-instrumental 80s synth-pop created and performed by one man, Rob Glover.

Rob said of the record:

“The title track of the album was probably the first track I completed for Walls, it set the bar for the album and is still probably my favourite from that collection. Lyrically it’s pretty heart-on-your-sleeve and documents a very real end of relationship – two people sat in a room in silence as they both become aware that it’s over and there is no turning back from that point. That moment is captured in my head in almost photographic form, I can remember the time of day, the early evening light cast on the walls, the orange glow of a lamp in the corner of the room and the TV muted as we sat in silence. The title, Walls, captured this memory.”

Here’s a taster:
