Video of the Day: Everything Everything

Words by Chris, posted in Features, Music, News on... July 16, 2010

As Latitude Festival gets into full swing, today’s video comes from Everything Everything, the Manchester exports set to provide one of the highlights of the whole festival tonight.

The genre-hopping, computer game obsessives are set to release their hotly-anticipated debut album Man Alive on Geffen on August 30, preceded by txt-spk titled single MY KZ, UR BF a week earlier.

The four-piece will headline the Lake Stage tonight as part of a busy summer of festivals, but for those of us not lucky enough to make it down to the Suffolk extravaganza, here’s a taster of what Everything Everything have to offer.

The video for MY KZ, UR BF is an unsurprisingly arty affair, with love troubles played out against a war-torn background, featuring Iraqi insurgents and “frozen time” effects for all you filmmaker enthusiasts out there. If you want to read more about the making of the video you can do that here.

Alternatively if you just want to watch it and have a good listen, just press play below. We caught up with Everything Everything as they went tent shopping ahead of their festival appearance. You can read the full interview in the August issue of Brum Notes Magazine, out on July 30.
