On Monday (December 9), local britpop-influenced four-piece Superfood, released their wonderful new double A side single, Bubbles / Melting. Taken from their forthcoming debut EP MAM, due out in early 2014, the release is their first since signing with independent record label, Infectious Music (also home to Alt-J, Local Natives and These New Puritans).
Following in the same vein as previous tracks (the eponymous Superfood and TV), the two new songs are inspired recordings which make their own way in an incredibly busy time for new music.
Lead singer and guitarist, Dom Ganderton, said of Bubbles:
It’s a discordant, vile, beautiful mess about people not having anything important to say but saying something for the sake of it.”
Check out the split screen video for Melting below.
You can purchase the single, via iTunes, here.
Additionally, tune in to Amazing Radio tonight (Wednesday, December 11) from 9pm to hear the foursome perform exclusive live session tracks. Find out more about that over on the Amazing Radio website.
