Remix masterclass in Birmingham this Friday

House music producer MJ Cole will head a remix masterclass at the Hare & Hounds in Birmingham this week.

The DJ and mix master will host and chair an interactive remix session with live demonstrations, performances, industry tips and more at the Kings Heath pub and live venue.

The event runs form 4pm to 6pm on Friday (November 12) and is free to attend but spaces are limited so must be reserved by registering in advance.

The masterclass is part of the launch of Rizla Re-Crafted, a brand new nationwide search for production talent that celebrates the art of the remix.

Later that night Rizla Re-Crafted takes over the Rainbow Warehouse in Digbeth where MJ Cole will be joined on the decks for DJ sessions from this month’s Brum Notes Magazine cover stars Simian Mobile Disco, as well as indie favourites Mystery Jets and Friendly Fires, alongside a live performance on the night from Finnish all girl electro-pop group Le Corps Mince De Francoise.

The Birmingham events are the first night of a four-city tour for Rizla Re-Crafted which will also give budding mix masters the chance to submit their own remixes of Mystery Jets track Show Me The Light.
