Goldfrapp, The Stranglers, Malian duo Amadou and Mariam, and The Unthanks are amongst the acts set to appear at the returning Lunar Festival this year (26-29 July 2018, Tanworth In Arden, Warwickshire).
Others confirmed include Hookworms, Basement Jaxx (DJ set), Songhoy Blues, Crazy P, Jane Weaver, the Trojan Sound System and former Can vocalist Damo Suzuki.
An expanded line-up sees the festival – produced by the team behind Moseley Folk, Mostly Jazz and Beyond The Tracks – also host appearances from author Catherine O’Flynn, podcasters Reasons To Be Cheerful (aka ex-Labour Party leader Ed Miliband and Geoff Lloyd), and The Glee Club’s Comedy Carousel.
Lunar Festival last took place in 2016, when it included appearances from Super Furry Animals, Mercury Rev, Television, Badly Drawn Boy, The Zombies, Os Mutantes, and Matt Berry. 2018 marks the festival’s fifth edition.
