Birmingham nightclub Lab11 will celebrate its third birthday with three days and nights of events this bank holiday weekend.
The venue in Trent Street, Digbeth, will also launch its brand new Archway Terrace under the arches of the Victorian viaducts overhead.
Magic Door, Glas and TRMNL will all host parties across the weekend, while Saturday sees the arrival of a brand new casual dining experience, Street Banquet.
Secret party-themed club night Magic Door returns to the venue on Friday (May 1), no doubt with its usual array of glitter, feathers and magic beans, with special guest DJs to be revealed on the night.
Saturday (May 2) sees the arrival of Street Banquet, serving up a variety of food and drink in a family-friendly atmosphere, with upcycled wooden reels, pallets, scaffold boards and oil barrels creating a unique urban dining environment. Treats will include an immersive Langley’s Gin experience, a selection of carefully-selected wines from Loki Wines, local ales from Two Towers Brewery and a whole host of street food traders, including Pietanic, The Flying Cow, The Butcher’s Social and Savannah Grill. And in keeping with the Lab11 vibe, there will of course be a carefully curated DJ soundtrack throughout. Entry is free all day.
GLAS takes over the final day of the Lab11 Birthday weekend on Sunday (May 3), with a daytime party from 2pm until midnight featuring the likes of Cuff Records’ Amine Edge & Dance (pictured above) hosting one room, whilst Darius Syrossian, Santé and 4/4 purveyor Sidney Charles take over the terrace as part of their Road to Ibiza tour. A BBQ and cocktail hut will also help keep the daytime spirit alive. Both first and second release daytime tickets have already sold out but a limited number of GLAS and TRMNL combo tickets are still available here, so get in quick if you want to be a part of it.
From midnight house and techno purists TRMNL take things well and truly into underground clubbing territory right up until sunrise, welcoming back The Martinez Brothers to headline, with suppot from Samu.l and Lauren Lo Sung among others.
