Paper Buoys have gained a renowned reception for their gritty details of modern living, and they continue that streak with their latest single, the synth-sprinkled rock of ‘After Dark’.

‘Sharp as Razors’, the Birmingham four-piece’s most recent single, was an acidic attack on the crazy state of worldwide politics. This time around, they turn their attentions to the murky side of gang warfare, incorporating their usual brand of bile-ravaged indie with squelchy synths and a typically abrasive vocal.
