Epic indie rockers 35 Seconds have been named as Birmingham’s best band of the past decade in an online poll.
After weeks of debating, blogging, tweeting, podcasting and other things ending in ‘ing’ instigated by The Blue Whale Blog, a comprehensive top 100 chart of the best bands to emerge from the Second City during the annoyingly named ‘noughties’ has now been compiled, featuring everyone from the likes of full blown rock superstars Editors to the lesser-known talent underpinning the Midlands music scene.
The now sadly-dormant 35 Seconds earned fans-a-plenty with their heartfelt, ethereal, soaring melodies, recording with the likes of Max Heyes (Doves, Primal Scream) along the way. They were renowned for their stellar live shows and pipped the likes of Sunset Cinema Club and Calories to top spot.
